M6043 - CUTANEOUS NERVES POSTERIOR

This chart illustrates the origin of cutaneous nerves on the Posterior Aspect together with a description of dermatome distribution.

On the right side of the body, the dermatome distribution is shown in different colours and each section is numbered to signify which area of skin is being supplied by the dorsal (sensory ) root of a spinal nerve.

There is a considerable degree of overlap when assessing which nerve root may be damaged.

The left side of the body shows the anterior cutaneous nerves duly named as well as information about where they arise and which area of the skin they supply.

Similar descriptive information is also written on the dermatome supply.
